Project

Florencia Guerberof is carrying out an ongoing research on Butoh dance, an avant-garde movement originated in 1959 in Tokyo, Japan.

The investigation focuses on a deep exploration of the work of Kazuo Ohno and Tatsumi Hijikata through training and readings, towards the creation of new work.

This project aims at opening new possibilities in the creation process. The training encourages a creative assimilation of the ideas triggered by Butoh. The main goal is to discover a specific area of interest relevant to the dancer, actor and artist’s own practice to develop a personal physical language.
